Kelly Martin, a 42 year old mother-of-five, was sentenced to 7 mos behind bars for her recent conduct involving a War Memorial.
On April 13, in broad daylight, witnesses say Martin urinated on a war memorial monument in Grays, Essex.
The monument which bears the names of those killed in WWI, WWII, and the Korean War, is celebrating its 100th aniversary. Martin, beer in hand, dropped trou and let go the yellow flow in front of several people, including children.
Two months later the jobless Martin was at it again, relieved heself in front of several bewildered onlookers. Only this time, the cameras were rolling.
Prior to sentencing Judge John Lodge stated,
“People use them as a place around which they congregate and that’s not wrong, but when people take that step further and abuse them by urinating on them that’s a matter the court needs to take very seriously indeed.”
Martin was sentenced to a total of four months in prison for her lewd behavior. An additional three months were added for assault and using abusive language the day she was arrested.
